Singing lessons for adults, teens and kids in Auckland: introducing our team members!
At Auckland Contemporary Singing School we offer singing lessons for kids, teens, and adults. Our private lessons are completely personalized so you or your kids can train as singers with a program that suits their specific needs!
All our private lessons happens in Unsworth Heights – North Shore area (Auckland). There is a lovely reserve super close to the studio and a cafe as well, so while you wait for your child to finish their lesson you can get your cardio done or take a deserved break. Or you can stay with us and presence your child’s lesson and enjoy witnessing their weekly progress!
Today I thought it would be nice to introduce our team members! Each one of us is in charge of a different age group and abilities. Take a look!
Jorgelina – adults and intermediate-advanced Rockschool students
I am a singing teacher specializing in teaching adults of all ages. My approach is integral and holistic, having explored not only singing training in depth but also energy healing techniques (qigong, reiki, corporal expression, etc) that complement my teaching.
I have a strong focus on musicality and vocal technique as a foundation, but I train people in other areas of singing as well (interpretation, performance, musicianship, improvisation, style, etc), focusing more on them gradually as the student strengthens their voice and grows in confidence.
I am also trained as a Rockschool teacher – I teach all grades and ages in the syllabus. Rockschool trains students in the areas of vocal technique, musicianship, repertoire, style, music theory, etc. This syllabus is perfect for kids and teens, and for adults that want to go through professional singing training and work towards a measurable goal.
I also teach the adults group class on Tuesdays – Our group class for adults is suitable for private students of our studio and for other singers from other schools, who want to have some extra practice. The class is fun! We do choir singing, performance, musicality, group technique, etc, and it is a great place for singing students to be a part of other student’s process and progress.

Michelle – Rockschool program – 8+ kids and teens – elementary adults
Michelle is a friendly and joyful woman from Germany! She is a superb singer – I have heard her singing beltings, whistles, and all those virtuoso fun things that people get amazed about. Not to mention her remarkable stage presence and strong technique!
With many first-place awards in singing competitions, she is joining Auckland Contemporary Singing School to be in charge of the Rockschool students – Grades debut to grade 3. This is a program suitable for kids 8+, teens, and adults who want to learn singing AND become real musicians with their voice in the process. The program works in many areas of singing such as pitch, intonation, vocal technique, musicianship studies, etc.

Thuryah – singing and music for very young kids (4-7 year old programe) – kids 8+ elementary level
Thuryah is our specialist in the super young kids singing program! Thuryah has been singing for many years! she started taking her singing very seriously last year and her perseverance and and determination have paid off. She is currently working on recording her own songs and she continues training in vocal technique and performance. She also plays the piano! She has a Grade 5 certificate in classical piano.
Thuryah has been chosen by me personally to take care of the youngest ones, for her strong musical skills, her friendly personality her ability to work with children!
Thuryah is sweet, soft, and very patient! She will help your super young child (4-7-year-olds) feel safe, secure, and comfortable in their music lessons.
Our singing lessons for super young kids are fun, engaging, and very age-appropriate. Kids learn the foundations of vocal technique and music through movement, games, and cute short songs!
